Your Infrastructure Does Not Stop at Your Border. Neither Do We.

Running a business internationally means your servers run around the clock, across time zones, serving customers who do not care what time it is where your infrastructure team is based. When something fails at 11pm Eastern Time, it is 8:30am in Mumbai. When something fails on a US public holiday, it is a working Tuesday in India.

Geography, when managed correctly, is an advantage. AV Services has been delivering Linux infrastructure management to international clients since 2013 — to companies in the United States and Europe that needed a reliable, English-speaking, technically rigorous partner in India. Not a vendor. A partner. One who understands that international clients have specific requirements around communication, documentation, and accountability that go beyond what a standard local engagement demands.

This page is for you if you are based outside India and need Linux infrastructure managed reliably, professionally, and to a standard you can depend on.

Why an India-Based Partner Makes Sense

The case for India-based infrastructure management is not primarily about cost, though the cost advantage is real and significant. It is about what you actually get for that cost.

A senior Linux infrastructure specialist in the United States or Western Europe commands $120 to $200 per hour for managed services work. The equivalent retainer in India, delivered by a specialist with equivalent or greater experience and an established track record with American and European companies, is available at $250 to $800 per month — not per hour, per month — for comprehensive ongoing management of one to six production servers.

The cost difference is not explained by a difference in quality. It is explained by a difference in cost of living and operating costs between markets. The Linux kernel does not have a Western edition and an Indian edition. The CVEs are the same. The attack patterns are the same. The best practices are the same. The work is the same. The price is not.

Beyond cost, India’s time zone — IST, which is UTC+5:30 — provides genuine coverage advantages for US-based businesses. While your team is winding down at the end of the US business day, a Mumbai-based infrastructure partner is starting their morning. Overnight incidents in the US are morning incidents in India. The follow-the-sun coverage model, which large enterprises pay significant premiums to implement, is a natural feature of a US-India infrastructure partnership.

The Track Record With International Companies

AV Services does not ask international clients to take the quality of its work on faith. The track record with international companies is documented and verifiable.

From 2013 to 2014, AV Services served as an approved field service vendor in India for Comtech Services Inc, a US-based technology services company. This engagement required meeting US-standard documentation and service protocols — the vetting requirements that American companies apply to their vendor relationships, applied to AV Services and passed. The engagement is verified by signed field service reports on file.

From 2013 to 2015, AV Services served as an onsite work order partner for Source Support Services Inc, another US-based technology services firm. A two-year sustained engagement. A second independent American company choosing the same partner, in overlapping years, is not coincidence. It is a pattern of quality that both companies verified independently. The engagement is documented by signed work orders on file.

In December 2009, AV Services received formal certification as a Technology Partner from Pyramid Computer GmbH, a German computer systems manufacturer. European vendor certification, formally issued, signed, and stamped. On file.

Two American companies. One German company. Physical documentation for every claim. This is what verified international credibility looks like.

What International Clients Actually Need

In 12 years of serving international clients, AV Services has learned that the requirements of US and European businesses go beyond technical competence. They encompass communication, documentation, and professional standards that make the relationship workable across distance and time zones.

Communication in clear, professional English. Not approximate English. Not English that requires interpretation. Written reports, incident summaries, monthly health documents, and real-time updates during incidents — all in the precise, unambiguous English that international professional relationships require. This is not a minor point. Ambiguous communication during an infrastructure incident, across a time zone boundary, is genuinely dangerous. AV Services communicates clearly because clarity is a technical requirement when the stakes are high.

Documentation that meets international standards. Every action taken on a managed server is documented. Every incident has a written root-cause analysis. Every monthly retainer produces a written health summary. The documentation standard is the one that American and European clients expect — precise, timestamped, and complete. Not approximate. Not verbal.

Response times calibrated to your business hours. AV Services is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For international clients, this means incidents that occur during your business day — whatever time zone your business day is in — receive a response within that same business day. Emergency incidents receive immediate response regardless of the hour in either time zone.

USD invoicing with clean documentation. All international engagements are invoiced in USD. Invoices are clean, professionally formatted, and include all information required for international wire transfers and internal procurement processes. GST is not charged on export of service engagements under India’s LUT framework — international clients pay the retainer fee with no additional tax loading.

Confidentiality and data handling that meets international standards. International clients, particularly those operating under GDPR or handling US customer data, have specific requirements around data handling and confidentiality. AV Services operates under strict confidentiality protocols. NDAs are available on request and are standard for international engagements. Infrastructure access is documented, minimised, and revoked cleanly on engagement termination.

USD Pricing

All international retainer engagements are priced and invoiced in USD. There are no currency conversion surprises, no variable pricing tied to exchange rate movements. The price agreed at engagement start is the price invoiced every month.

Essential Care — $250 per month One production server. Monthly OS patching and security updates. Monitoring and automated backup verification. Email and WhatsApp support during IST business hours. Monthly system health summary.

Professional Care — $500 per month Up to three production servers. Bi-weekly maintenance cycles. Full security hardening — SSH, firewall, fail2ban. Incident response included. Monthly backup restore testing. Priority support 24/7. Monthly health summary with quarterly strategy review.

Business Critical — $800 per month Up to six production servers. Weekly maintenance cycles. Priority incident handling with dedicated response SLA. Architecture and risk review. CVE monitoring and emergency patching. 24/7 availability including US and Indian public holidays. Monthly executive health report.

All plans are month-to-month. No minimum commitment. Thirty days written notice to disengage. No lock-in, no penalties, no complexity.

The Initial Audit — a comprehensive read-only assessment of your current server environment, delivered as a written report within five business days — is priced at $150 to $350 depending on environment complexity. This fee is waived with a three-month retainer commitment.

How the Engagement Works Across Time Zones

The mechanics of a remote international engagement matter, and they are worth explaining precisely.

Access is established via SSH key, with minimum necessary permissions documented and agreed before the engagement begins. You retain full administrative control at all times. AV Services access is additive, not exclusive — your team’s access is unchanged. All credentials are stored in an encrypted vault and revoked cleanly if the engagement ends.

Monthly maintenance is scheduled in advance, during a window that minimises disruption to your users. For US clients, this typically means late US evening — which is early morning IST — allowing maintenance to run during your low-traffic window while AV Services works during their standard working hours.

Incidents are communicated in real time via your preferred channel — email, WhatsApp, or Slack. During an active incident, updates are provided at regular intervals until resolution, with a written root-cause analysis delivered within 24 hours of resolution.

Monthly health reports are delivered on the first business day of each month, covering the preceding month’s maintenance activity, security events, performance metrics, and recommendations for the coming month. They are written to be readable by a non-technical founder or COO, not only by an engineer.

A Note on Time Zone Coverage

IST is UTC+5:30. For clients on the US East Coast, this means a 10.5-hour offset — your 9am is Mumbai’s 7:30pm, and Mumbai’s 9am is your 11:30pm the previous night. For clients on the US West Coast, the offset is 13.5 hours.

This offset, which can seem like a complication, is in practice a coverage advantage. Incidents that occur overnight in the US — the time when your engineering team is unavailable and your monitoring alerts have nobody to respond to — occur during working hours or early morning in Mumbai. The follow-the-sun principle applies naturally.

For European clients, the offset is smaller — IST is 3.5 to 4.5 hours ahead of Central European Time depending on daylight saving. This means significant overlap in working hours, making real-time communication during business hours practical for both parties.

AV Services does not operate a 9-to-5 schedule for any client, domestic or international. The availability is 24/7 because production servers do not operate on business hours, and the management of production servers should not either.

What Prospective International Clients Ask

How do I verify your track record with US companies? The documentation is physical and on file. Signed field service reports from Comtech Services Inc covering 2013 to 2014. Signed work orders from Source Support Services Inc covering 2013 to 2015. These documents can be shared with prospective clients on request as part of the engagement evaluation process.

What happens if I need on-site support? AV Services provides remote management as the primary service model for international clients. For clients with infrastructure physically located in India, on-site support in Mumbai and Thane is available within four hours, and nationwide within 24 hours. For clients with infrastructure located outside India, remote management covers all standard retainer activities. For situations requiring physical presence at an international location, AV Services will advise on appropriate local resources.

How is sensitive infrastructure data handled? AV Services operates under strict confidentiality protocols. No client infrastructure information is shared with third parties. NDAs are standard for international engagements and are available for review before any access is granted. All access credentials are stored in an encrypted vault. Access is revoked and credentials are rotated at engagement termination.

What are your payment terms and accepted methods? International invoices are raised on the first of each month in USD. Payment is due within seven days. Accepted methods include international wire transfer (SWIFT), PayPal, and Wise. Invoices include all information required for international payment processing and internal accounting.

Do you charge GST on international invoices? No. Services exported to clients outside India are classified as Export of Service under Indian GST regulations. Under the Letter of Undertaking framework, international invoices are issued at 0% GST. You pay only the retainer fee — no additional tax loading.

What is the notice period to end the engagement? Thirty days written notice, by email, at any time. There is no minimum commitment period, no early termination penalty, and no complexity in disengaging. Month-to-month means month-to-month.

Starting the Conversation

The first step is a free 30-minute Infrastructure Audit call. You describe your environment — the number of servers, the OS versions, the applications running, the current management arrangements. AV Services asks the questions needed to understand the scope and complexity. No access is requested at this stage. No commitment is required.

If the audit call suggests a formal engagement makes sense, the next step is a read-only audit of your actual server environment, producing a written report within five business days that tells you precisely where your infrastructure stands. From that baseline, the retainer scope and pricing are confirmed and the engagement begins.

The entire process from first contact to live retainer typically takes one to two weeks. There is no lengthy procurement process, no complex contract negotiation, no onboarding programme that takes months to complete. The engagement is designed to start quickly and deliver value from the first maintenance cycle.
